Open Microsoft Windows Power Point 2007. Like this:

Click the ‘start’ button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
Select and highlight ‘Programs’, by hovering the mouse, do not click anything.
Do not let it slip shut but take the mouse smoothly across and highlight all three, as in Figure 2, below.

Select and highlight ‘Microsoft Office’, select and highlight Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2007. When you have located Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. Click.

Microsoft Office PowerPoint will open.
It will look something like this.
There is a box for pictures and a box for text. You can choose other layouts also.
The remaining time in lesson 1 should be spent looking at Microsoft PowerPoint. This program has many interesting features. Browse through it and experiment.
